Research voyages in the south Atlantic archipelago have brought fresh knowledge of the marine ecology of the Tristan da Cunha zone. This provided baseline data for the protected ocean area. It also brought to light some previously unseen ‘creatures of the deep’ that became the stars of an exhibition at London’s Natural History Museum.
